Can I become an Idol?

Can I become an Idol?

Yes you can.

If you have the courage and strong will on becoming an idol, you can. To gain popularity, you will need more time, patience and effort but everyone definitely does have a chance on becoming an idol.

I can say this since I was able to take the best chances I could to become one. I actually never had thought I could become an idol but because I was able to step up for myself and show courage, I was able to become one.

I am a part of a group that regularly performs in Australia. Our main aim is to spread Japanese idol culture across the land. Us members, individually have our own set goals but we all try hard to give it our best in order to receive smiles from the audiences.

I had always been very shy as a child. I hated talking in front of people and was always reserved around new faces. I especially hated having to present speeches and always wanted to have more confidence in myself.

Though I was shy, I loved both singing and dancing. It wasn't like I took any special lessons but I used to try and copy to the best of my ability.

I was able to realise that I loved to perform when I was in high school. My school had a special event that celebrated cultural diversity. In this event, we were allowed to get a cultural act together so I decided to group up friends who liked japan and asked if we could dance to some J-pop (mostly idol and vocaloid) From then, we started practicing once an year for this event. This was what made me want to become an idol.

After I finished high school, I still had thoughts in mind that I would still love to keep performing. That was when I met my current group.

Even though I am reserved, even though I am really shy, I can give it my all with singing and dancing. I want to gain more confidence and love myself more for what I can do. But can I do it?

With limited knowledge, being a beginner with both dancing and singing and with limited confidence in appearance... Can I really do it?

I took the time I could to think. Think really hard on whether I could do it. But in the end I came up with a solution. Everything is worth a try. It isn't embarrassing if I couldn't make it. I need to step up! That was when I sent an application to the group.

I was very nervous but it was a childhood dream to become one. Luckily, my strong thoughts had gone through and I was able to become a part of my group.

I am very lucky to have become a part of my current group.I appreciate the courage I took to step up for myself for my dream to come true.

The group has given me chances to meet new people and say goodbye to the ones who were important to me. Even gave me chances to perform in Japan. Positives of being an idol definitely includes having to interact with so many people. Always a pleasure talking and having connections with so many people.

I am very lucky to have met so many people and to have received so much support
